Hi my name is Safara (pronounced Sa-fair-ra). I live in Red Deer, AB and I've been in the accounting field for over 7 years, having helped a variety of small/medium business and/or non-profit clientele with their virtual bookkeeping/accounting and personal & corporate taxes.
Through my accounting experience, I became more motivated to support local small businesses and non-profits and help them succeed; thus Butterfly Books really took flight!
Outside of work I enjoy going on walks with my husband around town, watching documentaries or listening to true crime podcasts and playing with our kitty, Junie.

My Story
I started Butterfly Books with an eagerness to work with small businesses and help make sense of their accounting.
I am very passionate about supporting Canadian small businesses, whether that's the coffee shop down the street; frequenting family-owned restaurants, buying second-hand clothes from local consignment shops/Canadian brands or some good reads from an independent bookstore. So why not continue to support the small business community with their bookkeeping and financial needs?
I don't subscribe to the stereotypes of boring and stressful accounting work; I love to help my clients understand and feel less intimidated by the accounting process. I also break down the financials on a monthly basis on a call to ensure you feel supported and can make informed business decisions.
